SAAT 2020 briefly known as Siksha O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test, commonly known as SAAT is conducted every year by Siksha O’ Anusandhan University, Orissa, in around 50 cities for selection in various Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs in Engineering at three different campuses. SAAT 2020 Application Form

Application Form is available on the official website of the University from the first week of December 2019 onward. Candidates have to visit the website and register themselves using their email Id and mobile number and then fill in the necessary details as are asked in the application procedure. Offline option for filling the application form is also available. You can also visit this website for regular updates.

Get latest news & updates about Entrance Exams via SMS and e-mail, by entering your details below:

  • On the Official Website of Siksha O Anusandhan, the application page will be opened on the screen.
  • Click on ‘send verification code’.
  • An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
  • Enter OTP to verify.
  • And the login details will be sent to the candidate’s email ID.
  • Now, fill the complete details required in the Application form.
  • Click on ‘Upload Pictures’ and upload the photograph and signature.
  • After providing all the details, click on ‘Submit Now’ button.
  • Also, must take the printout of the filled-in Application form.
  • There is no Application/Examination Fee for any candidate.

SAAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Various programs are offered by SOA at three different campuses. Eligibility criteria vary for all the programs. Details about the eligibility in each course can be seen below.

For B.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Must pass/appearing the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Physics and Mathematics (compulsory subjects) along with one of the Chemistry/Computer Science/Information Technology/Biotechnology/Biology/Informatics/ Statistics/Technical Vocational Subject or any other subject.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates have to obtain at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category) in the qualifying exam.

For M.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Pass/appearing in B.Tech/B.E./AMIE/MCA/M.Sc or equivalent in the respective discipline.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
  • GATE Score: GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the SAAT entrance test.


  • Qualifying Exam: The applying candidate should have passed/appearing Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university/institution.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Admissions in Lateral Entry Programs:

Important Exam Update

  1. Updates Regarding JEE Main 2020
  • Admission to Second year Degree Program in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma Holders
  • Passing or appearing at a three-year diploma course in Engineering/ Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

Lateral Entry MCA

  • Passed or appearing in three years BCA, B.Sc. in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 60% aggregate.

SAAT 2020 Admit card

SAAT Hall ticket will be available from April 2020 through online mode. Candidates can download SAAT Admit Card 2020 by following the given instructions:

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on the given link “Admit card”.
  • And, fill your “Username” & “password” in a given space.
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the Admit card & take a print copy of it for further proceedings.

SAAT 2020 Exam Pattern

Exam pattern may change according to new guidelines of SAAT 2020. But for reference, the paper pattern of Siksha O’ Anusandhan Admission Test is given below.

  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  • Examination Mode: Offline as well as Online mode.
  • Sections in Question paper: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • No. of Questions: 60 Questions from each subject.
  • Negative Marking: +4 marks will be given for every correct answer and for incorrect answer 1 marks will be deducted.
  • Candidates can use an HB Pencil or Black ink pen to fill the choices in the answer sheet.
  • Admit Card can be downloaded by the candidates from the official website 10 days before the exams.

SAAT 2020 Counselling and Result

  • SAAT 2020 Result will be released in May 2020.
  • Admissions will be done based on the Merit list,
  • And, will be followed by Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
  • Those candidates whose name will appear in the Merit List will have to submit their original mark sheets and pass certificate on the day of counselling,
  • Ranks will be cancelled of the Candidates failing to procure the Original documents.
  • Scholarships are also provided based on performance in class 10 and 12 exams.

Documents required at the time of Counselling

  • SAAT 2020 Rank card
  • A valid Photo Identity Proof  (Aadhaar UID)
  • Class 10 Mark Sheet and Certificate
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet and Certificate for passed out students.
  • Students Appearing in class 12 Exam should bring Admit Card.
  • Caste certificate in original issued Tahasildar of state of residence of parents.
  • PH certificate from Medical Board, IMS & SH, attached & PH-Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
  • Two sets of photocopies of the above documents.
  • 2 recent passport size colour photographs
  • Demand Draft of Rs.30, 000/- drawn from any Nationalized bank in favour of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Payable at Bhubaneswar.

  • And Admission to UG and PG programs except for Medical and Dental programs of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan.

Admission through NEET 2020

  • The Admission to MBBS and BDS course at is Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan follow the supreme court regulation and under NEET 2020.
  • The aspirants of Medical and Dental programs of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan are advised to follow the National Eligibility CUM Entrance Test.
