CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme 2020 for All Subjects: CBSE will be released the marking scheme for the Class 10th annual exam on the official website of the Board. CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2020 – Detailed Analysis

After restarting the Board Exams in Class 10th, the CBSE will be also brought CBSE new exam pattern for Class 10th and changes in the internal assessment (IA). As per the new pattern, the term systems and CCE have been replaced by the single annual examination by authority. The class 10th is consists of total of 100 marks which is subdivided further as:

  • Annual Board Exam: 80 Marks
  • Internal Assessment: 20 Marks

Annual Exam –

As per the latest CBSE Class 10 Mark System, maximum marks are 80 for each subject. Students required to secure 33% which is the passing marks in CBSE class 10 out of 80 in each subject. Individual grades and marks will be given for each subject. The total time duration of the exam is 3 Hours.

CBSE Class 10th Marks System – Internal Assessment (IA)

It is informed that 3 periodic tests will be held in the entire academic session and the average of the best two marks will be considered for the final weightage.

  • Periodic Tests (PT) – 10 marks each
  • Notebook Submission – 5 marks
  • Subject Activities – 5 marks

CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2020 Science Subject

 Class 10 Science Subject includes the basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. There are total 27 Questions divided into Section A and Section B. The new exam pattern for CBSE Board Class 10th is mention in the following table –

There will be practical based questions making weightage of 12 marks.

According to CBSE new exam Pattern for Class 10th, there will be no Multiple-Choice Question, unlike the last year’s exam pattern in which Section – B consisted of mostly practical based MCQ’s.

Internal choices will be provided in the 3 Mark Question of Section – A and 2 marks question in Section – B.

Applicants must follow the word limit while answering the questions in the paper.

  • 1 marks question must be answered in one sentence.
  • 2 marks questions – about 30 words.
  • 3 marks questions – about 50 words.
  • 5 marks questions – about 70 words.

CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2020 Social Science

 Social Science is considered one of the most scoring subjects in 10th standard. As per the CBSE latest notification, the board covers the whole syllabus of Geography, History, Civics, and Economics in Social Science.

  • The exam paper will carry 27 questions.
  • All the questions are compulsory.

Word Limit –

3 marks questions – about 80 words.

One outline political map of India will be provided to every student.

After the completion of the answer, attach the map inside the answer sheet.

CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2020 Maths Paper

The exam pattern for CBSE Class 10th Board Exam consists of 4 sections i.e. A, B, C, and D. Class 10 Maths Exam carries 80 marks for 30 questions.

Separate marks will be provided for each step. So, applicants are advised to provide a stepwise solution to each question.

It is advised to write the conclusion at the end of every question. It carries half to one mark depending upon the marking of that question.

 Note – Internal Choice in sections where students have to attempt only one question.

  • 4 questions of 3 marks, in section C.
  • 3 questions of 4 marks, in section D.

CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2020 English

 English is one of the easiest subjects in 10th standard. Students can check CBSE Class 10th Marking Scheme for English which is given below in this table:

Section A:

  1. This section will have reading comprehension, wherein two unseen passages of 700 – 750 are given.
  2. The passage may be factual, literary, or discursive to test comprehension skills.

Section B:

  1. This section is formed to judge the writing skills of the student.
  2. Letter writing, Notice writing, Poster making, Article writing etc. will be asked in this section.
  3. This section also meant to test student’s grammar skills such as tenses, modals etc.

 Section C:

  1. This section is totally based on literature and poems from the book “First Flight”.
  2. The questions are asked from the Literature Textbook and Extended Reading Text.

CBSE Paper Pattern for Class 10th Hindi 2020-19

Hindi Syllabus is consisting of three parts. Section One gives knowledge regarding grammar. While, the second part is for writing, and the last part is regarding questions from the book.
