JEST 2020 Notification has been released on 11 November 2019. The Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) for PhD and Integrated PhD courses. The entrance examination is conducted by the Department of Atomic Research, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Chennai. IGCAR is the second largest organization of the Atomic Energy Department after Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. To apply for JEST 2020 Exam, the admission seekers should apply on the official website link given below. Also, the list of participating institutes is mention here in the article.
Aspiring candidates must prepare themselves for the exam as the date of the exam is announced. The JEST exam will be conducted on 16 February 2020 (Sunday). Also, the admit cards of the entrance exam will be released soon. They should be downloaded as soon as they are out (i.e; January 2020). Candidates without the hall ticket/admit card will not be eligible for the exam. The eligibility criteria of every Institute participating is different from one another. - To apply for PhD Entrance Exam, Valid Email Id is required.
- Also, candidates need to upload their photograph and signature in jpg format.
- Whereas application would be considered successful, only after successful e-payment of application fees.
- Finally, a confirmation mail will be received by candidates for their successful application submission.

How to Apply for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST)?
The steps to apply for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is given below.
- Click on the official website of JEST. Applicant enters email Id and password to register.
- On successful registration, an email will be sent to the applicant’s registered email-id with a confirmation link for verification.
- Fill all the necessary details carefully.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature of the applicant.
- Click on ‘Fee Payment’ and submit the application fee.
- After confirming your account, use the ‘Apply’ link for submitting the application form.
- After successful submission of the application form, an ‘Application form ID” along with application number will be sent by the authority.
- On successful submission of the application form, take the printout for future reference.
