- Students pursuing their 8th class education can apply for NMMS Karnataka 2023-23
- The student wishing to apply for NMMS should not be a class 8 repeater
- A minimum of 55% in class 8 is required to apply for the scheme
- Students belonging to a General Category family must get a minimum of 55% marks
- Students who belong to scheduled caste or scheduled tribe Categories should have passed exam with a minimum of 50% marks
- Candidates whose family income per annum is less than 1,50,000/- can apply for NMMS Karnataka 2023-23
Students Not Eligible For Application Of Karnataka NMMS 2023-23
- Students of ‘Kendriya Vidyalayas’, JNVs and Sainik schools can not apply for the NMMS Karnataka Scholarship.
- Students who are studying in Residential schools with a lot of facilities like boarding, lodging, and good education can’t apply for the NMMS scheme
- Students pursuing their education from private schools are not eligible for the NMMS scheme
Karnataka NMMS 2023 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The Exam is taken in form of a written test with two different phases.
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
Students are provided 90 minutes for each phase of the exam. Each question in the paper carries one(1) mark which means the exam is a total of 180 marks

- If the students pass the exam, the selected students are rewarded 12,000 INR (Twelve thousand rupees) per annum which means students get 1000 INR (One thousand rupees) per month.
