Application Form for IIST Admission 2020
Aspirants appearing for IIST 2020 Admission must know various detail regarding application form.
- The application form for both UG and PG courses will be available Online only.
- For UG courses, aspirants can apply between the third week of May to the first week of June 2020 and for PG courses candidates can apply between second to the fourth week of April 2020.
- Aspirants must follow various steps of the application process – Registration, Filling details in the application form, uploading of images and making the fee payment.
- Applicants have to upload required documents (i.e photograph, signature and caste certificate (if required) in the specified format).
- Candidates must take a print out of both, application form & fee receipt for further process of admission.
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Application Fee
- Firstly, the application fee for Undergraduate Courses will be Rs. 600/- per department (for general category candidates) and Rs. 300/- per department (for SC / ST / PWD / Women).
- But, the application fee for Postgraduate Courses will be Rs. 600/- per department (for male candidates of General / OBC category) and Rs. 300/- per department (for female candidates of General / OBC / SC / ST / PWD category).
- Further, this application fee is Non-refundable.
- And, the applicants can make this application fee payment through Challan from any branch of State Bank of India or Union Bank of India.
- Also, Non-Residential Indian candidates can make the application fee payment through DD.
- Moreover, the Demand Draft should be in favour of “Registrar, IIST” to be payable at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.

IIST 2020 Application Procedure
- Firstly, the candidates need to submit the Online Application Form through the official website.
- Also, there is no offline application.
- Then, the candidates have to submit all the asked details (personal, academic, communication), details of JEE Advanced Examination and other required details.
- Next, the applicants need to submit their recent photograph, signature, medical certificate (only for PWD category candidates) and caste certificate (if applicable).
- And, the applicants can pay the application fee through Bank Challan of any branch of State Bank of India or Union Bank of India.
- Further, the aspirants should upload the scanned image of Challan payment.
- Finally, after submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram is a Deemed to be University (under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956). IIST is an autonomous body under the Department of Space, Government of India. There are around 560 students studying in Undergraduate courses and around 160 students are pursuing M.Tech/Master of Science. Whereas over one hundred PhD scholars are pursuing research courses in the campus. The IIST campus is fully residential for students. IIST, Thiruvananthapuram is spread over 100 acres and is located in one of the most scenic places in Kerala, very near the majestic mountain range of Western Ghats.

IIST 2020 Merit list
The IIST Admission 2020 merit list will be published Online only, once the exam is conducted. Aspirants can check the result by submitting the login credentials (i.e Application No. & passwords) to download the merit list. Merit list of UG courses will be published on the official website in the third week of June 2020. Merit list will be as per marks scored in JEE(Advance).
Whereas, for PG courses merit list will be published in the 2nd week of June 2020. The list will be published only after completion of their respective National-level exam. Candidates can download the merit list from the official website.
Interview session for IIST 2020 Admission
As per the merit list, applicants will be called for IIST Admission 2020 Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted for PG courses only. Aspirants will deal with some personal as well as educational questions there.
A written test for the applicants instead of interview for some programs may be conducted. The University will clarify the aspirants online in the call letter which process will be conducted for a particular course. Candidates must carry their documents for the process of interview.
IIST Admission 2020 Counselling
IIST Admission 2020 Counselling will begin in the month of July 2020 for all the eligible aspirants. Aspirants who have applied for PG courses will be called for counselling based on the result of the interview whereas for UG course candidates will be invited based on the merit list. Aspirants must have to download their counselling letter.
During the process of counselling, candidates can choose their branch as per their choice of courses available in the university. Counselling will be held Online but applicants need to visit the counselling venue for the process of counselling.
Candidates are advised to carry their original documents and a set of photocopies of originals for the process of counselling. After the successful completion of counselling, candidates will be called for the process of admission. Documents listed below are required during the counselling process:
- Educational Certificates.
- Transfer Certificate.
- Caste certificate (if needed).
- Scorecard of the respective National-level exam.
- Admit card of the exam through which candidate is applying for admission.
- Printed application form of IIST Admission 2020.
