Hostels in Delhi University: Students looking for hostels in Delhi university must look into following tips to find a better place while graduate or post graduation. All colleges in Delhi University do not provide hostel facility to the students, but there are some colleges which provide this facility. What are other preferred options to live in while studying at Delhi University?

Besides living in the college hostel there are choices which are made by the students and that is PG or Rent/Buy a Flat near the college. The students which are unable to live in the hostel, live as a PG near their respective college or rent/buy a flat.

Hostel for Postgraduate (PG) courses:

The process of getting a hostel in post graduation is very simple.

Check the information bulletin provided in Delhi University admission portal. It has a complete list of all the hostels in Delhi University and how many seats are there in each hostel. Then visit those hostels one by one and buy their prospectus which has forms in them and fills them out. You have to get it approved/attested by your college authorities of the college you’ve been admitted to. Then you need to submit that form along with other necessary documents which would be mentioned in the prospectus.

Then you got to wait till the respective hostels release their merit lists. If your name is there in any of them then you’ll be able to get admission in that respective hostel.

Though the seats for postgraduate students are very less in Delhi University and the hostels are given only to those who have a very high rank in the entrance or very high marks in their under graduation.

PG Areas near South Campus & North Campus
