  • Domicile: Candidates should be from one of the Northeast states or union territories.
  • Minimum Marks:
    • Candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 from any respective board.
    • SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 40% marks in their class 12 from any respective board.
  • Qualifying Subjects: Candidates should have studied Physics, chemistry, mathematics and a language.
    • If the candidate has studied more than one language then language with higher marks will be considered.

CSAB UT 2021 Eligibility criteria

The details regarding the eligibility criteria of CSAB UT 2021 are given below:

  • Candidate should be from the state of one of the union territories.
  • Candidates should not have allotted any seats till the special vacant seat filling round.
  • The Candidates should not have reported to any JOSAA seat allotment process.
  • Candidates who had reported for their allotted seat at the centres but their seat was cancelled due to any change in the category and are still unallotted are also be eligible for the CSAB UT 2020.
  • The Candidates who have reported after the seat allotment to their reporting centre but withdrew before the final round of JoSAA are also eligible.
  • Candidates who paid the initial fee and reported for the seat allotment to the reporting centre but have not reported to their allotted institute till the last date are also eligible.

The candidates who come under the below-mentioned points will not be eligible for the CSAB UT 2021:

  • Candidates who were allotted seats during JOSAA 2021 seat allotment process and also reported to their respective centres before the last date.
  • Candidates who were allotted seats during the special vacant seat filling round will not be eligible for CSAB UT 2020 irrespective of whether they reported to their respective centre or not.

CSAB UT 2021 Counselling Procedure

The procedure of CSAB UT 2021 seat allotment is given below:

  • Registration:
    • Candidates after checking the eligibility criteria must register themselves.
    • Candidates have to register by visiting the official website.
    • Enter the details as per asked for the registration.
  • Filling the choices:
    • Candidates have to fill their choices of college and courses.
    • Candidates have to fill the details as per their priority.
    • After filling, candidates have to check and lock their choices.
  • Seat Allotment:

Maharaja Agrasen University Admission 2021 will commence soon. The Application form will be released in the month of June(tentative). It UG level it offers B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BHMCT, BTTM, B.Design programs of 4-year duration, BSc, LLB, B.Vocation, B.Tech LEET programs of 3-years duration, and BA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Arch courses of 5-years duration. PG level courses offered by the university are M.Tech, MBA, MTTM, M.Com, M.Sc. programs of 2-years duration. Maharaja Agrasen University Courses

MAU undertakes various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses every year. Courses in the Undergraduate level are:

  • Architectural Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

There are many courses at the Postgraduate level as well. They are:

  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Mathematics

Candidates will have to pay an overall tuition fee of around Rs 4 lakhs for any of the Undergraduate courses. Candidates will have to pay Hostel Fees separately every semester. A number of seats in each of the Undergraduate course are 60 (Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering have 120). Candidates pursuing M.Tech Courses will have to pay tuition fees of Rs 2 Lakh for the course and will also have to pay Hostel and Mess charges separately. An approved number of intake in any of the Postgraduate course is 18.

Maharaja Agrasen University Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The details regarding the MAU Eligibility criteria is given below:

  • Candidate must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory courses, along with one of Biology/ Biotechnology or Chemistry.
  • The candidate should secure a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examinations. (45% for reserved category).
  • The candidate should also qualify one of JEE Main 2021 or HPCET 2021 which will be conducted by HP Technical University.
  • Two seats will be reserved for students from Jammu and Kashmir under the Supernumerary quota.
  • For admission in PG Courses, Candidates should obtain a minimum of 50% in B.Tech or Equivalent and qualify GATE 2021 or HPCET 2021.

Maharaja Agrasen University Admission 2021 Selection Basis

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to fill the MAU application form:

  • Candidates will have to buy the Application form along with the prospectus from the university itself, by paying Rs. 800. It can be downloaded online as well. Application form filled online will have to be downloaded and sent via post, along with a demand draft (DD) worth Rs. 800.
  • Along with the Application form, candidates will also have to send the following documents as well.
    • Class 10th Mark sheet as the date of birth proof.
    • Mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent)
    • Admit card, mark sheet and certificate of JEE Main 2020 or HPCET 2020
    • Character Certificate
    • Migration Certificate
    • Passport-sized photograph
  • Once the application forms are submitted, University will release a merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the qualifying examination and required an entrance examination.
  • Selected candidates will have to visit the University for counselling. Candidates who do not report for counselling will be removed from the admission procedure.
  • Candidates will have to deposit the entire fee during admission.
  • Foreign students will have to submit an equivalence certificate stating their qualifying examination.
  • In case the candidate wants to withdraw, he will have to do so before the commencement of the session. In that case, the candidate will be refunded the fees and Rs 1000 will be taken as a penalty. The tuition fee will not be refunded, once the session begins.
  • Various scholarships are provided to students based on their merit and need.

CSAB NEUT 2021: Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)

The Government of India is running a reservation scheme for students belonging to 12 North East States & UTs in UG level Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy courses. These 12 North East States & UTs don’t have engineering colleges/polytechnics institute or lacking in technical education facilities. So, in order to have the maximum possibility of admission to eligible candidates from these states & UTs, the Government of India introduced a separate counselling & seat allotment Board i.e. Centralized Seat Allotment Board for North Eastern States and Union Territories (CSAB NEUT-2021).

Document Required during Counselling

  • Photo ID proof as per Government of India norms
  • JEE Main 2021 Admit Card
  • JEE Main Score Card 2021 issued by CBSE (downloaded scorecard is acceptable)
  • Class X (High School) Board Certificate for proof of date of birth
  • Certificate and Marks Sheet of the qualifying examination
  • Category/subcategory/caste/sub-caste certificate (if applicable), issued by the competent authority
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Certificate (if applicable) issued by a duly constituted Medical Board. The certificate should stand valid up to September 15, 2021.
  • Proof of place of examination center of the final examination from the National Open School for candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate (required for determining the ‘State of eligibility’)
  • Demand Draft of Rs 2000 drawn in favor of ‘MNIT Jaipur CSAB 2021’

Q1. How many rounds of seat allotment are there in JoSAA?

Ans. There will be only seven rounds of seat allotment in JoSAA.

Q2. Will there be any other round after seven JoSAA Rounds?

Ans. There will be one Special Vacant Seats Filling round after regular JoSAA rounds only for NIT + Institutes. Details of this special round will be available on the website www.csab.nic.in

Q3. Who are eligible for the Special Round of counselling for NIT + System?

Ans. All candidates who were eligible for JoSAA as per JEE (Main) 2017 Rank will be eligible for participating in the SPECIAL ROUND.

Q4. Can a candidate, who has not registered/participated in JoSAA rounds, participate in the Special Round?

Ans. Yes, all candidates who are eligible for JoSAA as per JEE (Main) 2017 ranks, can participate in Special Round, irrespective of whether they have registered/participated in JoSAA rounds or not.

Q5. Will my choices filled in JoSAA be carried forward or I will have to fill choices again in Special Round?

Ans. Special Round is a process conducted by CSAB-2017 only for NIT + System and is separate from JoSAA, hence a candidate will have to register again and will be required to fill-in choices again from the seat matrix of NIT + System Institutes.

Q6. I have got a seat in NIT + System Institute in JoSAA rounds and have joined the Allotted Institute. Do I need to surrender the allotted seat for participating in Special Round?

Ans. No. You don’t need to surrender the seat allotted in JoSAA round. While participating in Special Round, the seat allotted in JoSAA round will remain safe if you don’t get a seat in Special Round and will be forfeited if you are allotted a seat in the Special Round.

Q7. I have got a seat in IIT in JoSAA rounds and have joined the Allotted Institute. Do I need to surrender the allotted seat for participating in Special Round?

Ans. No. You don’t need to surrender the seat allotted in IIT in JoSAA round. While participating in Special Round, the seat allotted in IIT in JoSAA round will remain safe whether you are allotted a seat in the Special Round or not.

Q8. What is the policy for the refund of Participation Fee in Special Round? The participation fee (Rs 46,000 for OP & OBC and Rs 21,000 for SC, ST, PwD) will be refunded after deducting the processing fee of Rs 1000 if no seat is allotted to the candidate.

Ans. There will be no refund if the candidate is allotted a seat in the Special Round.

Q9. I have reported/joined at the Allotted Institute after 7th JoSAA round and have participated in the Special Round. If I am not allotted a seat in the Special Round, will I be eligible for the refund of Participation Fee of Special Round?

Ans.

a. If you had joined an IIT earlier as per JoSAA allotment, you must have deposited Rs 46,000 / Rs 21,000 as participation Fee in the Special Round. So, you will be refunded the participation fee after deducting the processing fee of Rs 1000.

b. If you had joined an Institute of NIT + System earlier as per JoSAA allotment, you must have deposited Rs 1,000 as participation Fee in the Special Round. So, you will not be refunded any fee.

Q10. What are the subjects for calculation of 75% aggregate marks (65% marks for SC, ST and PwD) for NIT + System B.Tech Programmes in JoSAA and Special Round?

Ans. Following five subjects will be used for calculation of 75% aggregate marks (65% marks for SC, ST and PwD). 1. Mathematics, 2. Physics, 3. One subject out of Chemistry/Biology/Biotech/Technical Vocational subject 4. One language, 5. One other subject

Q11. Do I need to fulfil both the criteria of eligibility i.e. 75% aggregate marks (65% in case of SC, ST and PwD) and top 20 percentile in respective board

Ans. No. You have to fulfil at least one of the two criteria.

Q12. During the first six JoSAA rounds, I have reported at one reporting centre. Can I go to another reporting centre for changing my option from Float to Slide/Freeze or from Slide to Freeze?

Ans. It is preferred to go to the same reporting centre for such changes. However, there is no such restriction.

Q13. What is the state of eligibility for Indian nationals passing the class XII from abroad (including Nepal/Bhutan)?

Ans. The State of Eligibility of the candidate will be determined on the basis of permanent address in India as given in the passport of the candidate.

Q14. How many seats can one get allocated in this system of joint seat allocation?

Ans. Even if a candidate is eligible based on any two or all three examinations, only a single set of academic programs is made available and he/she will be allocated only ONE seat from among his/her choices based on ranks in categories and their applicability in the type of examination/institution.

Q15. Can I participate again in joint seat allocation in the next round once I reject/withdraw the allocated seat?

Ans. NO. You cannot participate anymore in seat allocation for the academic year 2017-18 for seven JoSAA rounds. However, you can participate in the Special Vacant Seat Filling Round conducted by CSAB only for NIT + System institutes.

Q16. I do not want to report to the admitting institute/reporting centre. How can I claim my refund of the seat acceptance fee?

Ans. You can seek a refund of seat acceptance fee through the online portal of JoSAA.

JoSAA 2021 registration process is mandatory for every qualified candidate interested in joining any of the IITs, NITs, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and other GFTIs (within the purview of JoSAA 2021).
