Kalpeet Veerwal 2017 Topper on “Is NTA fraud?” Explained the Ranking Fluctuation Also
Final word: NO.NTA has inflated ranks – people who used to get ranks under 1000 are getting 10000 ranks at the same score. This is mainly due to: Students got a hang of it due to January attempt – so everyone scored higher, leading to the crazy marks vs rank data. The shift – there were 16 JEE (Main) papers this year, including both attempts. Something called “normalization” has been used to combine the 8 shifts of each attempt to compile results. Introduction of the “EWS” category. This must have had an effect. Nonetheless, NTA should have made a better and transparent result sheet – marks of students haven’t been mentioned (although I do believe that the results are honest). I have made a YouTube video on the same for those who want a thorough analysis of the situation. I advise students to move ahead and study for JEE (Advanced) and other exams. Ranting and crying will only waste your time. All the best!Kalpit Veerwal, IITB CSE Sophomore
As per National Testing Agency Public Notice, MHRD Department of Higher Education regarding the implementation of reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) for admission in Central Educational Institutions, it is necessary to identify the candidates belonging to EWS category from amongst the candidates of JEE(Main) January and JEE(Main) April 2020.
The Candidates of JEE (Main) January 2020 as well as April 2020 Examination(s), who come under EWS category as per the Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, may mention such category in the Online Application Form available at www.jeemain.nic.in between March 11-15, 2020. The EWS Category Certificate is not to be uploaded in the JEE (Main) Portal. However, the same will be required at the time of filling up of the application for JEE (Advanced).
